Aloha e na hoa makamaka,

We'll hold a (short) general membership meeting this Saturday, October 16, from 5 to 6 pm on Zoom. Our agenda includes: 

• News from Kauluakalana and Hui Maunawili-Kawainui.
• Updates on the AoHCC Convention and Huakaʻi to Ulupo
• Our slate of nominees for the Nov. 20 BOD election
• a Kihei mini-lecture on the 1895 Water Commission Hearing at which Kailua's kalo and rice farmers sought to end the theft by WG Irwin and the Waimanalo Sugar Plantation of millions of gallons of Maunawili water.  An excerpt from Hikaʻalani's testimony at that hearing is given below.

We'll also post our agenda and minutes-to-be-approved on the usual Member Essentials web page, and we'll send out the Zoom link on either Friday evening or Saturday morning.
